The CGI doesnt bother me, usually the anime soundtrack will carry the show, Kono oto the anime with the cool asf Koto instrument didnt rely on the animation, the music and soundtrack made the anime.

They over animated it, it's horrible how they put CGI in a music performance but a music anime just needs that music and with that one just need to closes his eyes and hear it.
Kono oto Tomare has way more than just that, Chika's story is priceless everyone should love just the right amount of drama in any anime, and that manga has it in just the right amount.

Come on let's not say that modern tunes and fixes are better than the classics, I cannot stay put when I hear, Canon or Winter or Rondo Capriccioso or many other classics, they are amazing I have to see it and the sound will stay in my head for hours. Its greatly dramatised for anime purposes but the paparazzi are known to do that. This isn't just anyone, it's a famous person, and the affair was apparently big news to them. Probably because that kind of thing is thought of differently in Japanese culture (a divorce is considerd 'breaking the family').
